T’was a dark and stormy night. The office staff were huddled around a gloomy fire after Dionysus sold the London offices for some gold-plated bunny ears. It was the anniversary of Habbo hotels 35th Habboween. The surrounding night was like a black curtain of doom waiting to suck them in.
Impetuous looked at the conveniently located grandfather clock and said “Another Habboween is nearly over.” Jay looked up with Smash (Who had just returned from his Miami holiday) and chorused “Do we look like we care?” Impetuous shrugged then rolled her eyes after looking at a snoring Dionysus on a blanket. He was sucking his thumb and mumbling, “Dany don’t eat me.”
The clock ticked and ticked. Dionysus woke, “Is it me or have you all forgotten, where’s Jibbi?” Dany shrugged and untangled a bat from her hair.
The clock ticked and ticked. Jay roasted bat legs on the fire. Smash roasted newbies on the fire. “Smash that’s mean!” Impetuous cried. “Arrrr, poor iccle Impetuous getting caring, eh?” Smash sniggered.
The clocked ticked and ticked, then ticked some more. “Oh for bobba’s sake shut that thing up.” Dany threw Dionysus’ golden ears at the clock as they shattered. “MY EARS!” Growled Dionysus.
“Well it’s your fault we’re camping in Hyde Park you pompus rabbit.” She squealed.
“Will the both of you shut up!” Banged Impetuous, “We would be perfectly ok if Jibbi was here, and by the way Dionysus, she left over 30 years ago.”
There was a silence. Then the clock started ticking again. The clockwork started winding and then - “Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong, Dong!” The clock had just struck twelve when lightning flickered and the trees shook, the wolves howled (if you get wolves in Hyde Park) and the fire blew out.
Jibbi stood tall and proud in the middle of the lazy office staff.
“JIBBI!” Cried Impetuous.
“Your back!” Screamed Dany.
“OMG! I am so... h-happy.” Dionysus struggled a smile. Jay grinned and so did Smash.
“Look at the state of you lot, where’s Becs and Ione they can help me get this mess sorted out. Where are they?” Questioned Jibbi.
A disgruntled Becs and Ione climbed out of a cardboard box and they yawned.
“Oh, happy Christmas,” Becs weeped then joining Dionysus on his blanket.
“There is a lot we need to get sorted out,” Exclaimed Jibbi, “First of all we need some new offices and we need to be a working team again. Who’s in?” Said Jibbi.
There was a silence.
“Oh never mind then.” She walked away in the dreary moonlight leaving the lazy office staff, forever. Habbo hotel users cried and made ‘Bye Habbo’ rooms as the final person was disconnected. Habbo hotel was then purchased by some crazy guy.
THE MORAL TO THIS STORY:
1. NEVER FRY NEWBIES.
2. NEVER BUY GOLDEN EARS.
